Very good read. I've been developing web applications for over 20 years and my role as a web developer for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts ended back in February of 2024. Having come from the 'old school' of writing and testing code by hand and consulting Stack overflow and Google to get answers when I'm stuck, I was accustomed to doing things this way. I too was one of those developers who dismissed AI as a non-threat that will never be able to write code the way humans can. I started to blame my age on why I'm not getting hired. I was saying to myself that these companies are not going to hire a 55 year old dinosaur as their web developer. But the truth is that I was not embracing AI. So now I find myself at a crossroad. and I'm taking the road of AI. I'm just wondering if I'm late to the picnic or not. I am totally looking forward to trying these new updates and tools out. I've already been working with Nano Bananas a bit and am totally blown away by some of its results
